I backed a Kickstarter last year for an iPad stylus, and just received it this past week. Sadly I goofed and picked the wrong reward: I got another fat rubber ended pen similar to my Bamboo stylus, instead of the fine point one I wanted/thought I'd be receiving.
But to get my money's worth, I've been playing around with it in my free time. It's a big learning curve, I admit. But when it's not frustrating it can be fun, especially for quick gestural work.
For those interested, Dani Jones does a marvelous job at testing various stylus pens and aps, and has even written a book on making iPad art. So definitely go check out her work.
