Resuming Disney Color Studies

I'm trying to get back into the groove of these color studies, as I haven't done one in months. I cheated and went longer than the 30 minute timer; it was closer to 50 minutes on this.

Alice In Wonderland has some stunning backgrounds… and then many shots with literally a color as the background. It's actually pretty well balanced: gorgeous shots followed by "nothingness." You can really tell creative muscles were used to create the zany world of Wonderland within a reasonable budget.

I especially love the sequences where Alice grows and shrinks. Those scenes are interwoven throughout the movie, and the above frame is from before she grows to the size of a house. Namely, the White Rabbit's house. (How adorable is it he has bunny ears on everything? Or a framed picture of carrots? D'awhhh.)
