Then and Now

I'm a sucker for these type of comparisons, and not having done one in a while I thought what the heck! I find it so inspiring to see the growth others go through, and it reiterates the value of hard work.

On the left is an Inktober drawing from 2014, while the right is a commission from the beginning of this year.

For whatever reason it's a widespread belief that artists are "born with talent," never mind the hours upon hours of blood, sweat, and tears behind the scenes. Just the same, it's all too easy to see awesome art and feel discouraged. But like the proverbial bike, you just have to keep at it. And have fun!
